An affordable alternative to a complete kitchen remodeling project is kitchen cabinet refacing. This is a process by which the exterior surfaces and hardware of your outdated or worn cabinets and drawers receive overlays, usually with some combination of self-adhesive or glued-on materials. The result is a completely new kitchen that looks far more expensive and time-consuming than it actually was. Refacing is best performed on cabinets that are otherwise intact and structurally sound. Excessively damaged cabinets are not good candidates for refacing.

Q: What is Cabinet refacing?

A: Simply put, the cabinet refacing process begins with removing all the existing doors and drawer fronts. The existing scribe moldings, crown moldings, and base trim are removed. All of the cabinet boxes are prepared by cleaning the surface to remove any dirt layers or grease. Next, all of the cabinet boxes are covered with 100% real wood veneer. We then install the new solid wood or thermofoil doors along with matching drawer fronts. Matching toe kicks, scribe moldings, and base trim are then installed. Handles (if desired) and door bumpers are installed on the doors.  

Q:  Do you install countertops?

A:  NO, we will leave the countertops to the experts who specialize in that industry.  We can however ,refinish your existing formica countertops with our exclusive "Grani-Cote" imitation stone finish. Its extremely durable, available in many multi-spec patterns, and will save you a huge amount of money.


Q: Is refacing my existing cabinets more affordable than replacing my cabinets?

A: Yes, typically 50-65% cheaper than the cost of replacing your existing cabinets. In fact the cost of the entire refacing project is usually less than just the materials to replace your cabinets.
